Arizona Protections

In Arizona, HB2429 was sponsored by Rep. Amish Shah and passed in the 2022 legislative session. It allows medical societies to run confidential, peer to peer support programs that can evaluate and counsel physicians on burnout, fatigue or general wellness.

The confidentiality component of this legislation assures physicians that their participation in SafeHaven is not subject to discovery in the event of a lawsuit.
